Violence of "I'
Sometimes violence is the look
that says
I am above you.
Sometimes it is the silence
that says
You are beneath me.
And sometimes the ego becomes
clever.
It learns humility.
It bows.
It speaks softly.
It says:
I am nobody.
I am only dust.
Everyone applauds.
But the ego is still speaking.
The arrogant says, I am
special.
The false humble says, I am
nobody.
Different costumes.
Same actor.
One screams look at me.
The other whispers look how
humble I am.
Both are still waiting for the
audience.
True humility does not announce
itself.
A flower does not apologize for
blooming.
The ocean does not rank itself
against the river.
Existence needs no leaderboard.
Only the ego does.
Because the ego cannot simply
be.
It must be more,
more successful, more wounded,
more spiritual, more important.
Even pain becomes a
competition:
Nobody has suffered like me.
Even insecurity becomes
identity:
I am the ugliest person here.
Even shyness becomes another
mirror:
Everyone is watching me.
Same poison.
Different bottle.
The ego does not care
whether the reflection is
beautiful.
It only cares that there is a
reflection.
It can wear a crown or a wound.
It can shout I am the greatest
or whisper I am worthless.
Both still begin with the same
word:
I
Dignity does not need
comparison.
It does not need someone
beneath it
or someone above it.
It simply stands,
like a tree that never asks
the other trees if it has grown
enough.
That is self-respect.
Not I am better than you.
Not I am worse than you.
But I am.
The second you need someone
smaller
you can feel larger,
you have already declared war
on oneness.
You cannot love what you need
to conquer.
You cannot see yourself in
another
while screaming I am not like
you .
So arrogance becomes a quiet
war
inside consciousness
me against you,
higher against lower,
winner against loser.
And then we wonder
why love feels so rare.
The mind is so clever. It read
about ego, it write poetry
about arrogance, and then it
smiles and say:”Look at how
much I know.”
Thief has become the
detective.
You ask if my certainty
is ego.
If my insistence
is arrogance.
Look closer.
I do not speak to win.
I have nothing to prove
and no system to defend.
Yesterday I said one thing.
Today I say another.
Tomorrow I may burn both.
Consistency is for philosophers
who need a cage of logic
to feel safe.
I speak from presence,
not from belief.
When the sun rises
you do not say
“I might be incorrect,
but I think the light is here.”
You see it.
You are certain
because it is happening.
My absolute tone
is not superiority.
It is a device.
A hammer against the wall of
your intellect.
If I hesitate,
if I say “perhaps” or “maybe,”
your mind finds a loophole
and hides.
So I leave you no exit.
I speak with such force
that the game of right and
wrong
becomes impossible to play.
You are trained
to live inside that game
winning, losing,
correct, incorrect.
So when you meet certainty
you assume it must be arrogance
You assume I am trying to
defeat you.
I am not.
I am trying to exhaust the part
of you
that needs to be right
so that something quieter
can finally appear.
Why are you so eager
to catch me in ego?
Because if you can label me
arrogant,
your own ego can relax.
It can say,
“See? She is trapped.
I am fine as I am.”
You came looking for an
opponent.
You will not find one.
If it comforts you
to call this arrogance,
call it arrogance.
If it comforts you
to call it ego,
call it ego.
A never ending story.
Was all of this truth or was it
just my ego over explaining a
simple thing?
Mind loves to complicate.
